Unless You Walk In Their Shoes

Their names are winos, derelicts, and bums.

They sleep on park benches, under bridges, and in slums.

Somehow they're always just hanging around

Waiting for handouts from someone downtown.

I can't help but wonder if Jesus walked past them today.

Do you think He would ignore them and turn them away?

He probably would love them with unconditional love

And introduce them to the Father above.

Maybe that's a lesson for us Christians to see.

It don't have to be Christmas before we meet a need.

We should all love the hurting and bear their burdens and sins.

We must be careful before throwing stones at those men.

Because unless you've walked in the shoes they are in

How can we judge? We can't, let's just pray for them.

It's good to be a Christian and know it,

but it is better to be a Christian and show it!

And he replied, You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and

with all your soul and with all your strength and with all

your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.
